Why would you want to activate your pineal gland?

The pineal gland is a very mysterious little gland, located in the center of your brain(roughly right behind what is known in eastern traditions as the third eye). In many traditions it is held that the third eye, is the seat of the soul. This has been re-emphasized in Rick Strassman’s groundbreaking work DMT: The Spirit Molecule. He has theorized that because of the pineal gland’s role in DMT production and the effect that DMT has on consciousness, that it may just be absolutely central to our perception.
